A BAYSIDE MATTERS CAMPAIGN

Metro East

Brisbane’s eastern corridor.

The proposed CBD–Capalaba extension is being assessed through Council’s business case.

We are advocating for reliable services, useful local connections and accessible stops as Council develops its business case.

02 / CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES

Our priorities.

01

Reliability

Assess the full trip: walking to the stop, waiting, travelling and changing services. Compare performance across the day and week.

02

Local connections

Explain how neighbourhood bus routes and destinations beyond the CBD would connect with the proposed corridor.

03

Accessible stops

Include safe crossings, shade, lighting and step-free access in the options considered.

04

Costs and delivery

Publish the options, impacts and funding decisions so residents can understand the trade-offs and next steps.

THE LOCAL QUESTION

Journeys beyond
the CBD.

Residents in Carina, Carindale and surrounding suburbs have different destinations, schedules and access needs.

Our questionnaire asks about current trips and the changes that would matter most. Support, concerns and opposition are all relevant. It is separate from Council’s consultation.

No final local stop list is confirmed here. Route and stop options need to be assessed by the responsible agencies.

Is this the official Council survey?

No. This is a Bayside Matters campaign questionnaire. Council’s own consultation is linked above.
